hempthcI was just having a chat, online, with a colleague about hemp, regarding a post about hemp being used to cure cancer… This was my response to a comment.  I thought it was worth sharing: .. I think “cancer”  is a mufti-faceted issue.. that can be “cured”… but also, the body needs to be treated, for toxins, for imbalances etc.. even mainstream medicine understands cancer as a “failure ( or breakdown) of the immune system” to recognise and remove cancerous cells, before they can establish themselves and get out of control.

also the original posting was about treating autism– and, from what I understand ( and I do not have an autistic child, so I do not have the direct, first-hand experiences of someone who lives with this), you don’t-can’t cure autism.. and you DEF can’t treat autism without addressing the underlying issues of GUT imbalance and body-systems, CNS etc.

One thing hemp/ hemp oil probably contributes, one mechanism, is that when the body is in stress-mode.. it cannot, will not go into healing mode.  The body is very capable of healing itself. it is more effective than any doctor, any pharmacologist etc, at producing what it needs.

The question that needs to be asked.. Continue reading

I was just reading yet another post about possible causes/ origins of Lyme disease.. Many people speculate that it is a government created bio-weapon.  Who knows.. maybe it is.. I certainly wouldn’t put it PAST certain bodies and agencies, and is it possible- sure.. I don’t rule out that possibility.. although I also respect that Nature has many potent and powerful mechanisms that keep nature in balance.. and we, as a species, have certainly been transgressing in that area.  However.. ultimately, I don’t CARE.. who what where when.. it’s a waste of energy to waste looking for someone to blame.. so unless someone did develop it AND.. is sitting on a cure.. I prefer to put my energy into staying WELL. How about you….? Continue reading

I was just reading an interesting article about some of the physical benefits, or rather physiological benefits of grounding. It talked about the importance and benefits of going barefoot. Also,  I remember in my herbal training, we talked a good bit about how the feet absorb minerals from the ground and grass.  That’s a pretty cool idea and absolutely makes evolutionary- biological good sense.

Another benefit to walking barefoot is also physiological.  Or perhaps anatomical?  When we walk over uneven ground, especially if we are barefoot.. we use our muscles and our bodies very differently.  Walking over uneven ground, and walking barefoot over natural ( not man-made/ paved) surfaces allows us to use more of our muscles, and stresses the feet and joints less.  I played around with this, shifting back and forth between the sidewalk, and the grass next to it.  I definitely sensed the distinction. Of course, it probably looked a bit silly, but I was pretty immersed in the changes in sensory information.  Walking over the grass also felt more relaxing, satisfying, in some way…have you tried it? You might be surprised… Continue reading

Some people may think that the universe sends us things, as teachers, lessons etc. I don’t know if this is absolutely true and accurate.  Do I think there is love, compassion and support in the universe ( regardless of belief)?  Absolutely! But I also think that the universe operates as  a set of the laws of physics, sort of.

I don’t necessarily think I became a healer because of Lyme- while it definitely lined some things up for me that pointed in directions that I followed. A book jumped off the shelf that caught my interest.  Might I have found that book ( on Andean spiritual teachings) via some other route?  Who knows? I think it is certainly possible, that many roads can lead to the same place… Continue reading

Chronic conditions suck.  Literally and metaphorically.  They are draining, depleting and compromise the quality of Life.  Period.  Plain and simple.  I had one Andean teacher who really nailed healing 100% dead center.  Many people talk about the need to make peace with an illness, to understand why it came.  He noted that was crap ( my word/ interpretation).  His very clear and indisputable response was:  A person does not need to come to peace with an illness.  If a person has cancer…  if you remove the cancer from that person, Peace is going to come into their Heart.

As someone living with chronic Lyme.. I couldn’t agree more.   And in response to holistic energy healers… no, I was not vibrating on a frequency that attracted this to me.  At the energetic levels- there are huge cosmic flows.  And there is an absolute quantum, random nature to the universe.  Sometimes stuff… just happens.  In my own case:  I lived in CT, I went to school in Central CT.  I owned and trained hunting dogs… in Central CT. ‘nuff said.

As anyone with Lyme, or any chronic condition might know…  it is a game changer—in huger ways even than Cancer, HIV, etc which are “known” understood and recognized quantities.  Continue reading

Cords are threads of energy connection between two energy bubbles.  Ideally, nothing should be connected to the energy bubble.  But cords do happen, it is not uncommon.  they should release after an engagement, and in a perfect world, cords would not connect even during engagements.  but what fun would a perfect world be?

Most times, cords just.. release, or go away, much like a memory or emotional charge from a situation.  Sometimes though, cords are unintentionally or intentionally, left attached.  They can impact both sides, drain the recipient, and act like a computer stealth virus.. Continue reading
